On this training course you will learn the practical and theory to be able to carry out a professional Gel Nail application on clients, it is a two day course and aimed at people with no prior experience in Gel nails. The benefits of Gel Nails for your client are that they can lengthen, strengthen and make perfect long nails that the client may not be able to achieve themselves. Gel is applied and then cured under a Gel Lamp to set. Gel nails often look more natural and glossy than other types of nail extensions but are not as strong as acrylic nail extensions; they are also kinder on the client’s nails allowing the nail to breathe easier under the extension. Gel is odorless and easier then acrylic to apply. It is possible to earn £40 per hour as a Nail technician.

Examination / Passing the course

Continual assessment takes place during the day. On completion of the course a final practical test is completed to assess knowledge gained during the course. For students that have been unable to pass the assessment the tutor will recommend they receive ongoing support until the assessment has been passed at no extra cost.
